Senior Director of BaylorVision

Chris Humphreys serves as senior director of BaylorVision for Baylor Athletics. As a member of the Branding and Creative Services leadership team, Humphreys oversees all aspects of the athletic department’s live sports and in-venue production and on ESPN+, as well as PCR productions in partnership with ESPN linear networks. In addition, he oversees the department’s budget and operational affairs, and manages new construction projects for new videoboards and control rooms, in partnership with facilities staff and campus procurement teams.

In 2019, Humphreys was named Baylor University’s “Distinguished Staff Leader” award winner, a distinction given to only one staff member each year.

Humphreys joined Baylor Athletics as associate director of BaylorVision in October 2016 after three years as game day producer for Texas Tech Athletics, where he had oversight of in-venue production under the direction of associate AD for broadcasting services. In October 2018, he was promoted to director of BaylorVision, and to his current role in August 2022.

Prior to joining Texas Tech’s full-time athletics staff in 2013, Humphreys spent 15 years in freelance creative production for a wide variety of industries, covering all areas including director of photography, print design, motion graphics, editing, and product fulfillment. Projects have taken him to numerous international locations including Europe, Israel, and Egypt, and he served for a time on staff with the Department of Defense. Humphreys’s career in broadcasting began in radio in 1991, transitioning to television while in college, and working on numerous TV truck crews as a freelancer.

Humphreys earned a Bachelor of Science in communications from Angelo State University in 1997.
