Dennis Trapani joined Wyoming Athletics in July, 2013 as director of video and digital media, and was promoted to his current role as assistant director of athletics in 2017. 

Trapani oversees the day-to-day operations of the WYO-Vision team and leads all video and production initiatives for the University’s 17 Cowboy and Cowgirl teams. He serves as the lead producer/director for all videoboard shows and streaming/linear broadcasts of Wyoming football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball games. Trapani has overseen the construction and renovation of Wyoming’s central control room, as well as the design, construction, and operation of video boards in War Memorial Stadium (football), Arena-Auditorium (basketball), and UniWyo Sports Complex (volleyball and wrestling).

Prior to Laramie, Trapani worked at the College of Charleston for four years as the associate director of multimedia. While in Charleston, he helped launch CofC’s mobile production unit. He served as technical director for all CofC Men’s Basketball broadcasts on ESPN3/MyTV Charleston and served as lead producer/director for all other Cougars athletics broadcasts.

Trapani started his career by spending two years at the United States Military Academy at West Point. While at Army, Trapani helped launch the Black Knights’ KnightVision platform and served in various roles in broadcast and creative video creation.

Trapani earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Gannon University (Erie, PA) in 2007.
