Ken Cleary joined the University of North Carolina Department of Athletics in 2001. He began managing UNC’s video efforts coinciding with the installation of the first video board on campus in 2003. Cleary currently oversees the Go Heels Productions unit of Carolina Athletics. The unit produces more than 200 live broadcasts for the ACC Network and other broadcast partners; studio content; and in-venue productions for sixteen sports in seven venues. As part of the ACC Network launch, Cleary served on the leadership team for the design and construction of the $15 million Woody Durham Media and Communications Center on the Chapel Hill campus. The facility features four control rooms and a studio and serves as the hub for broadcast productions originating on campus. He’s served as North Carolina’s liaison to the ACC Network, serves on the ACC Network Advisory Board, and has chaired the Atlantic Coast Conference Video Directors group.
