Leah Gill joined the Chattanooga Mocs Creative Services team full-time in 2011 as the MocsVision production coordinator, was promoted to director of creative services in May 2014, and promoted to her current role as assistant director of athletics in January 2017.
Gill oversees MocsVision, the team responsible for all ESPN+ broadcasts, all in-venue video board presentation, and other video and graphic content production. In 2015, she led Chattanooga’s entry into the world of school-produced broadcasts on ESPN’s non-linear platforms. MocsVision currently produces 65+ broadcasts for ESPN+ each competition year. Her team also works with Strategic Communications, Marketing, and Learfield/IMG to ensure media execution for all sponsors or stakeholders. Gill is also the managing editor for GoMocs.com and has overseen two redesigns of the website.
In 2018, Gill oversaw the installation of new videoboards at Chattanooga’s football and basketball venues and a new control room in the McKenzie Arena. She manages all in-venue presentation for football and men’s and women’s basketball at all stages – concept, production, crewing, and game-day execution.
Before arriving at Chattanooga, Gill was a producer/editor with a state government agency in Raleigh, NC. While in Raleigh, she was a game-day crew member for N.C. State Football, basketball and the Carolina Hurricanes during their 2005-06 Stanley Cup Championship season.
In 2000, Gill graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University, where she then served as the assistant director of external operations and AppVision until 2004.
In addition to her full-time role with Chattanooga, Gill enjoys taking on freelance gigs when possible – her favorites being the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2018 Winter Olympics (both as a competition venue videoboard director), and several productions with Antiques Roadshow.
Gill is originally from Greeneville, TN and currently lives in Hixson.
