Olivia Cooke joined Harvard Athletics as director of multimedia and production in June of 2022. In her role, Cooke leads all creative content initiatives for the athletics department. She has a day-to-day focus on developing the student workforce and modernizing the department’s approach and strategy relating to storytelling and content creation. She also coordinates the Crimson’s live broadcasts and videoboard shows.
Prior to arriving in Cambridge, Cooke served as a HokieVision graduate assistant for Virginia Tech Athletics. She played an instrumental part in producing social media and promotional content for Virginia Tech’s 18 programs and was a senior crew member for its linear and digital broadcast productions that appeared on ESPN’s family of networks and in-house videoboards. Cooke earned her Master of Public Administration from the School of Public and International Affairs.
Before pursuing her master’s degree, Cooke spent her undergraduate career at Clemson, working for Clemson Video – the athletics production arm of the university. She credits much of the foundation of her career to 2018 SVG College Pioneer Honoree Rick Bagby of Clemson. During her time in South Carolina, Cooke assisted with ESPN/ACCN broadcasts and videoboard shows and had the opportunity to contribute to the coverage of both football national championship runs and the official launch of the ACC Network. She graduated with a B.A. in communications and a B.A. in world cinema.
