University of Pennsylvania
Director of Broadcasting & Production

Tiana Brown joined Penn Athletics as the director of broadcasting and production in November of 2021. In less than a year with the Quakers, she was able to overhaul the broadcast operations post-pandemic by engineering and constructing the department’s first control room, rebuilding the freelance staff, and collaborating with local universities to give students more opportunities in sports broadcasting. Along with her full-time work at Penn, Brown is also a part-time morning news director/TD for PHL17 and a freelance Kickoff and Postgame Show director for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Previously, Brown was a digital production assistant for the Philadelphia Eagles after completion of her MBA degree in management from Saint Peter’s University in 2021. At Saint Peter’s, she helped implement video production into the Athletics department by becoming one of their first digital media & communications graduate assistants. Brown was the director/TD of all ESPN+ broadcasts in their newly purchased production van and incorporated Adobe After Effects into their video editing processes.

Brown enjoys giving back and engages in community service whenever possible. She is the corresponding secretary of the Tri-County Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc (NCNW) and the founder of The C.A.M.E.R.A. With the recent launch of her non-profit organization, Brown was able to partner with PHL17 to donate equipment to her alma mater, Willingboro High School, to help jumpstart their new video production classes for the 2023 – 2024 school year.

In 2019, Brown earned a BA degree in telecommunications from Penn State University where she discovered her passion for live production.
