Zack Bacon joined Texas A&M Athletics in July of 2017 as an assistant broadcast engineer for 12th Man Productions. He was promoted to broadcast engineer and eventually chief broadcast engineer in November of 2019. Bacon is responsible for the technical operations, monitoring, and management of broadcast and big screen video systems for all Athletics venues. He is also responsible for the direction and implementation of all new broadcast technologies for Texas A&M Athletics.
Bacon graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in information and operations management. In his time with 12th Man Productions, Bacon has overseen their transition from an all-SDI infrastructure to a core ST2110 infrastructure relying heavily on virtualization and other native IP technologies.
